The Build
Added a 300sx Borg Warner turbo to a 20B engine for fitting into a freshly panel and painted FD RX7 - bought off a chap in the Hawkes Bay.
Testing
Out at Taupo to test the setup. Ran perfectly. Time to dial up the boost!
First race
Running in GTRNZ 3 and very quick to break out of the times. Looks like we're up to GTRNZ 2 in the next round.
Sideways
Getting to grips with 500bhp. She certainly shakes a bit loose under acceleration out of the corners. Fun!
Family day
Great to see Garry and Scott racing in the same series. Some epic battles and great days out for the fans and supporters.
Livery
Scott decided on a green accent in the livery. Starting to look like a real race team now.
Father and son
Shredding up the track at Manfield. Not sure who beat who - but whoever did, it was very close!
Blue skies
More beautiful weather at Hampton Downs back in the day - 2018 we think.
Pukekohe
Racing under the bridge at Puke before it was closed. A great track to stretch the long legs of the 20B turbo. Some great racing against some mega cars and drivers (Duffin and Gray)
20B Power
Making some serious power and competitive with some serious machinery, including Group A V8s, triple and quad PP rotors.
Battle-time
Out for another round at Hampton Downs in 2019. Last season of racing for the 20B. Hopefully back in action in 2026.
Best Race Car
Won Best Race car at Rotary REunion in Taupo. Up against some serious metal. Great work Scott!
